A while back I made a post asking people for movie recommendations for fans of Outlast and got a pretty good response. Now, I'm thinking it may be interesting to read something in a similar vein to Outlast. I know that the games don't translate over to text very well, given that much of the appeal comes from the scare factors of the games rather than the narratives. That being said, anything that matches Outlast in terms of setting, atmosphere, and themes would be appreciated!
So, I'm sure that this has probably already been posted at some point, but if Dead by Daylight ever had a chapter involving the Outlast series who would you want to be the Killer?
As it stands my choice would be Eddie Gluskin.

Just wanted to put a reminder/announcement here that it is now less than two weeks before the full release of The Outlast Trials! It will be coming to consoles and PC players on March 5th, 2024 and Early Access participants will also receive a free Reborn skin for their support. There are also pre-orders available as well.
Check out Red Barrels on X/Twitter to follow updates more closely! Super excited for all of the new Reagents to join the Sinyala Facility!
Man oh man I just completed all of the trials in Naked and Afraid and as frustrating as it was, it was also very challenging and that was enjoyable :D
It really did remind me of the first Outlast, where you either hide, run, or die and that made me very pleased
If anyone else has played it I would love to hear how it went for you!
Heya, you can call me Lucid…I’ve recently played Outlast 2 which is the first and only game I’ve played in this series😅
But I really enjoyed it and think it’s an amazing game, Blake’s backstory with Jessica and all that really hit me and is something I’m constantly thinking about, it was my motivation to finish the game in hopes of a good ending🥲
So considering how I can’t get my mind off it I would be happy if anyone has any suggestions about what I should do or play next within the series✨
I haven’t played the trials yet, I know the general info it adds to the lore but like is it worth it? I’ve seen really mixed reviews.
The films are real.
None.
Yes, the autopsies revealed that the tumors were pure lead.
I have my theories. My homeland in those years... it's impossible to understand. The things we felt. What we believed. The overwhelming fear, ecstatic rage, and... English words are insufficient. More than hope. A human mind in that environment is capable of extraordinary things.
A proximity to death, to overwhelming madness. Only a test subject who had witnessed enough horror was capable of activating the engine.
No.
Nothing is supernatural.
Is somebody there?
Has somebody survived? Come closer.
Please, talk to me, before he kills you, too.
Over here! Please, I must try to explain.
I promise you, I'm trying to help.
I know, I-I, I know, I am supposed to be dead. No, no such luck. I am older than sin, but, somehow, the only one left. Because of Billy.
He takes care of me. He may think I'm his father. He certainly loves me, the poor idiot.
Do you know what this symbol represents?
It warns of a nanohazard. Microscopic machines, technology we have had for decades, but never mastered.
Murkoff discovered, in my research, a work-a-round.
Turning the cells of human bodies into nanofactories. It's the natural function of cells to produce molecules, but through psychosomatic direction, we engineered the precise molecules necessary. Mind over body.
It was... foolish and wrong to think we could control it. To use mad men to control something so strong.
You have to stop him, to... murder Billy. Turn off his life support, his anesthesia. You have to undo what I've done.
No one can get out of this place while he lives. You must kill him.
We achieved something like this in 1944. Those fascists thought it was spirits, and I let them believe it. Let them kill themselves thinking there was some kind of afterlife now empirically promised to them. Fools.
Poor Alan. He would weep to see what I've built from his dreams.
Billy doesn't mean harm. He's a child with a damaged mind, granted the powers of a God. It would make any of us into a monster.
You must end this. We all must die here.
Murkoff knew the dangers, and they didn't care. In the corporations' mind, we are all just dollar amounts in a ledger. And the profits Project Walrider promised overshadowed whatever pitiful balance a few doctors and patients amounted to.
He will spread if you don't stop him. The Morphogenic Engine is self-perpetuating. I pray to God you have the strength to end it here with your death.
More than anything I want to rest. Billy will not let me die. He could never imagine how cruel this is. I only want to die.
Gott im Himmel. You have become the host.

Hey everyone. I was thinking about the jessica's story in outlast 2. Now, we all know that its straightly true that father louthermilch vexed and sexually assaulted jessica in school, he chases her, she fells and dies, he threatens blake not to tell anyone and with his help, hang her to portrait a suicide. But what does the ending means? I mean what she meant by "i will never let you go, and you will never let me go"? What a healthy and dead ending jessica suggests and what meaning does that praying express? Only thesr question haunt me, other things are clear. Can anyone help me with some appraisal?

I have a question, what is Eddie's accent anyways? I'm not America so I honestly can't tell. I'm just curious to know
After a few hours of messing around with extraction programs, I was able to decrypt the dialogue of Outlast Trials and put the subtitles into a Google Sheets spreadsheet. Feel free to use it for editing articles or if you just want to read what all the characters have to say.
